Survivors Media Guides
Survivors of high-profile tragedies are often ill-prepared to manage the crush of unanticipated – and often unwanted – media attention that follows a crisis. We created these guides and one-pagers to support survivors of all kinds whose stories may be told by the media, particularly those managing the immediate aftermath of a high-profile event or in the aftermath of tragedies.
These guides and one-pagers are meant to elevate the critical, timely steps survivors can consider if engaging with the media. The three guides are: Considerations before engaging with the media, considerations if not engaging with the media and how to prepare to effectively engage with the media.
Survivors Media Guide - part 1
Survivors Media Guide - part 2
Survivors Media Guide - part 3
This section highlights our work on behalf of survivors, stories that discuss how we approach our work and media reports about the survivors we are working to support. All materials we share about individual survivors have been approved for public display by the affected families.
