Survivors Media Guides
Survivors of high-profile tragedies are often ill-prepared to manage the crush of unanticipated – and often unwanted – media attention that follows a crisis. We created these guides and one-pagers to support survivors of all kinds whose stories may be told by the media, particularly those managing the immediate aftermath of a high-profile event or in the aftermath of tragedies.
These guides and one-pagers are meant to elevate the critical, timely steps survivors can consider if engaging with the media. The three guides are: Considerations before engaging with the media, considerations if not engaging with the media and how to prepare to effectively engage with the media.
